a few little gems

This week isn't dedicated to any one wacky and tacky product, but to two items that I've found add convenience and ease to my hectic life.

The first little gem I've discovered is disposable toothbrushes. My roommate gave me a pack of Plackers Flash Disposable Toothbrush in my stocking for Christmas. Six come in a package, and they are individually wrapped which makes them portable. Although they aren't the ideal way of brushing one's teeth, they are perfect for times where it's just not possible to break out your toothbrush and toothpaste and brush away that coffee breath. You shouldn't go as far as to only use disposable toothbrushes -- that just wouldn't be hygienic -- but in terms of convenience and getting that those teeth feeling much less fuzzy, these mini toothbrushes do the trick.

The next product I absolutely love is the Swiffer Wet Jet. My mom bought me one for Christmas and I use it almost every day. Instead of using a mop and a dirty bucket of water, this little gem uses a liquid spray and a disposable cleaning pad. I thought the downside would be that it uses batteries, but the batteries I put in at Christmas are still going strong. I recommend the Swiffer Wet Jet if you are looking to clean without much hassel.

  1. I think those tooth brushes are cool. I would also like to know how those ones that you put in your finger and rub on your teeth work haha. I'm obsessed with brushing my teeth so i would probably buy that, even if it was just to keep one in my purse for emergencies lol

  2. I have never heard of a disposable toothbrush (although I suppose all toothbrushes are disposable). I like the idea of being able to brush during the day even if I am at school/work. I wonder if hey would be convenient for traveling too. How big are they?

  3. Katie, you would talk about the Swiffer Wet Jet.

Haha, your birthday? Need I say more, your floor was sparkling.

I have one too! It's pretty sweet.

  4. I actually enjoy using the Swiffer Wet Jet. When I'm forced to clean the house it makes it more bearable to use something I don't have to ring out, clean or crawl on the floor.

  6. People who travel a lot will find disposable toothbrushes very useful. You can easily put it in a small pocket in your traveling bag, and in your case, it would be easy to brush your teeth, even at work, without spending too much time having to clean it, and everything. Although you mentioned that disposable toothbrushes probably aren’t all that hygienic, they ensure that the bristles are always in their pristine condition, making sure that every use effectively reduces plaque build-up and gum disease.
